Job Description
We have been exclusively retained by a respected housing organisation to appoint an experienced People and Organisational Development (P&OD) Business Partner on a fixed term 12 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished HR professional to join a purpose-led organisation that is committed to creating a positive colleague experience, developing its people and delivering an effective, customer-focused People service. Reporting to the Senior People and Organisational Development Business Partner, this role will provide high-quality HR advice, guidance and support to leaders and managers across a multi-site organisation, helping to deliver strategic objectives and support colleagues throughout the employee lifecycle. The Opportunity The successful candidate will operate as a trusted People Business Partner, working collaboratively with leaders and managers to provide pragmatic, commercially focused and legally sound HR advice. You will play a key role in supporting organisational change, improving people practices and embedding a culture of engaged high performance. This role offers the opportunity to influence how the organisation supports its people, develops leadership capability and delivers an excellent colleague experience. Working as part of a collaborative People and Organisational Development function, you will combine strong employee relations expertise with a proactive approach to coaching, influencing and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities As People and Organisational Development Business Partner, you will: Provide a trusted business partnering service to designated leaders and managers, offering expert advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle. Coach and support managers in the effective application of people policies, procedures and best practice approaches. Provide advice on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, attendance, capability and performance issues through to appeal stage. Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders, using insight and data to identify trends, challenges and opportunities for improvement. Support recruitment and selection activity, ensuring effective, fair and inclusive processes. Work alongside senior colleagues to support organisational change, including restructuring, service improvement and changes to terms and conditions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies, processes and manager toolkits. Develop and deliver guidance and learning interventions to support managers in effectively managing their teams. Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements. Analyse people data and produce reports to support evidence-based decision making. Act as a proactive coach and mentor, supporting the development of colleagues and contributing to the wider People strategy. Promote a culture of inclusion, collaboration and continuous improvement.
