Job Description

Purpose of Position:
This is a key position supporting the human resources functions across the company. The Human Resources Specialist (HRS) is responsible for updating and administering company policies, overseeing recruiting and hiring functions, and managing employee records and engagement. The HRS will oversee and manage a team of admin support personnel assigned to various functions in the department. This position will work closely with the Director to ensure that ICE remains compliant with applicable rules and regulations in addition to adhering to industry best practices. Educational Requirements High school graduate or GED equivalent
Experience and Background:
Minimum of 3 years related experience preferred Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite and Share Point, Adobe and Paylocity HR investigations experience and manage conflict preferred DOL statistics experience preferred
Requirements:
  • Valid State Driver's License required/License must meet ICE Services insurance criteria.
Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, physical evaluation, fit-for-duty test and background check. Must have strong time management and multitasking abilities. Enjoys working with people; must be friendly, helpful, patient, with ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with a variety of individuals both inside and outside the organization. Excellent customer service skills as a key point of contact for both internal and external matters. Must thrive in solving problems and coordinating solutions with multiple sources. Good communication skills, ability to speak, read and write English. Must be able to travel and work overtime. Ability to adhere to strict policy and procedures per company and OSHA requirements.

  • Ensures compliance with labor laws, regulations and organizational policies
  • Oversee hiring, transfers, and termination functions
  • Assist with managing department administrative staff
  • Support HR leadership in resolving employee relations matters and by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues, including investigations
  • Manage day-to-day employees, vendors and client engagement
  • Maintains employee files and records in electronic and paper form- maintaining privacy and confidentiality for employees
  • Handles unemployment claims & disputes- verify all other unemployment requests
  • Assist with recordkeeping, audits, year-end preparation
  • Assist with HR compliance activities
  • Any and all other HR responsibilities/ other duties as assigned
