JOB DESCRIPTION
The HR Generalist is a hands-on HR Partner responsible for independent performance of HR functions, working closely with management and employees. Responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, training, and ownership of the company's HR information systems (HRIS). The HR Generalist exercises discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance, including the interpretation and application of federal and Arizona employment laws, as well as industry standards such as AS9100 and ITAR. The position is execution-focused, emphasizing timely, accurate recordkeeping of HR activities across multiple systems, and partners with leadership to modernize, integrate, and continuously improve the HRIS environment so that employee data, payroll, benefits, training, and compliance records remain accurate, current, and audit-ready. Essential Job Functions Post job openings, coordinate interviews, and extend offers in partnership with hiring managers. Manage new-hire onboarding and orientation programs updating content as policies and requirements change.- Maintain timely and accurate employee records across all HR systems and oversee HR recordkeeping processes.
- recommending and implementing practical upgrades or automation that save time and reduce errors in partnership with IT and leadership.
- Time-to-Fill for Critical Roles
- Accurate tracking of Employee Training Hours
- Timely completion and accuracy of Periodic Statutory Reporting (Payroll Taxes, Compliance Reports) Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of HR experience, including recruiting and HRIS or payroll exposure Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong interpersonal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Preferred Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field HR certification (SHRM‑CP, PHR, or similar) Experience with AS9100 and/or ITAR Work Environment and Physical Requirements Primarily office‑based within a manufacturing facility, with regular movement through production areas Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and operate standard office equipment May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds (e.
