The Role The HR Generalist is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for delivering high-quality support across core HR functions. This role manages critical administrative processes, fosters a positive employee experience through onboarding and engagement initiatives. The HR Generalist acts as a trusted resource for employees and contributes to building a strong, inclusive workplace culture and ensures compliance with employment laws. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS and related systems. Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics for leadership decision-making. Partner to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, leave administration, and workplace postings. Assist with internal audits and regulatory reporting. Support policy updates and communicate changes effectively to employees. Serve as a primary initial point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Provide clear, timely, and professional responses to employees while maintaining confidentiality. Escalate complex issues to HR leadership as appropriate. Coordinate and lead new hire orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. Manage onboarding documentation and ensure compliance with all required forms and processes. Partner with managers to deliver a positive and engaging employee experience. Organize and execute recognition programs and employee engagement activities. Support the development of creative initiatives to foster inclusion, collaboration, and morale. Maintain working knowledge of benefits administration and HR systems. Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to recommend process improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2+ years of HR experience with exposure to multiple HR disciplines. Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of Human Resources practices and principles. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
