HR Generalist Cotti Foods Corporation - 3.0 Rancho Santa Margarita, CA Job Details Full-time $30 - $34 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Professional ethics Workplace dispute resolution HR systems (technically supported) Bachelor's degree Employment law in talent management Productivity software Negotiation in dispute resolution Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Job Summary The Human Resources Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including but not limited to conducting investigations, preparing employee documentation, managing recruitment and hiring processes, administering benefits, processing leaves of absence, and ensuring compliance with company policies and practices.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Compliance and Training :
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and optional training, continuing education, and work assessments (e.g., anti-harassment training, professional licensure, certifications).
Background Checks and Onboarding :
Conducts or facilitates background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
HR Program Administration:
Executes routine tasks related to benefits, leave management, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, employee productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
Employee Relations :
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors. Refers complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate personnel.
Meetings and Investigations :
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Policy Compliance :
Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Reviews and updates policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Industry Knowledge :
Stays current with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Other Duties :
Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Legal Knowledge :
Comprehensive understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
Technical Skills :
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. At least one year of human resource management experience preferred. SHRM-CP Certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
