Job Description
Summary Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the Human Resource Generalist is responsible for managing an array of topics included but not limited to payroll processing, administration of employee benefits, recruitment and onboarding and employee relations. Main Activities Assists in the creation and management of long-term human resource programs including employee policies, recruitment and onboarding procedures, engagement initiatives and other employee related matters. Capable of communicating and implementation of policies and procedures. Address employee requests and questions regarding company policy, procedure and HR programs in a timely manner. Support the recruitment and onboarding of all staffing needs for facility positions. In consultation with the HR Business Partner, provide guidance to frontline leadership on how to handle employee relations concerns. Support local benefits administration including open enrollment, new hire enrollment and qualified changes throughout the plan year. Coordinate and maintain documentation related to all leave of absences for facility employees. Support employee Wellness events. Support payroll processing of all Luxfer Riverside employees (agency, hourly and salaried). Maintain a high level of communication with employees including employee communication boards and other formats available through HR systems. Participate in improvement projects aimed at increasing employee engagement as well as improvements to the effectiveness of HR processes and programs. Work with the HR Business Partner on programs that support talent development and retention that will support the current and future talents needs of the facility. Conduct investigations into employee concerns and take relevant action to resolve. Support the tactical aspects of implementing change in the organization. Support other HR functions as required. Education Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or similar field. 2-5 years of hands on experience in Human Resources with multiple disciplines including recruitment, onboarding, time keeping/payroll and employee relations. PHR or SHRM-CP highly preferred. Additional Qualifications Exceptional problem solving, communication, organization skills and a desire to help others. Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of staff including managers, selected candidates being hired and existing staff. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with self-motived direction. Must have a desire to continually learn and be capable of using good judgement and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements. Ability to keep information confidential. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) Highly Preferred
