Job Description

Human Resources Generalist Location:
San Bernardino County (with regular travel to Imperial County)
Reports To:
Director of Human Resources Position Overview The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive HR support across multiple sites. This role partners closely with leadership to support recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned locations Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes Address employee relations matters, including conducting investigations and supporting corrective actions Ensure compliance with California labor laws and internal policies Support benefits administration, leaves of absence, and workers' compensation processes Maintain accurate HRIS records and generate reports as needed Collaborate with leadership on performance management and HR initiatives Travel regularly between San Bernardino County and Imperial County sites Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist experience Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations Experience with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred) Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly Preferred Qualifications HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) Experience in nonprofit, education, or childcare environments Bilingual in English and Spanish All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
