Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment and Placement), CG-0201-13

This position is located in the Chief Operating Officer Organization, Human Resources, Staffing, Payroll, Processing and Personnel Operations of the FDIC and is responsible for providing operational recruitment, placement, and staffing activities nationwide. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill similar vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement. Positions can be filled at any of the locations advertised.

Qualifications:

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12-grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as ( 1) performing the full range of recruitment and placement functions utilizing merit promotion and delegated examining procedures including developing job analysis, preparing job opportunity announcements, and making eligibility/qualification determinations using an automated recruitment system; and (2) providing consultative services on recruitment strategies and resources. In addition to the qualification requirements listed above, you must also meet the following selective factor to be considered eligible for this job. The selective factor is defined as: Current Delegated Examining certification by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management is required for this position. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors - if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
