Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic Human Resources team as a Human Resources Generalist, where you will play a vital role in shaping and supporting our organization's people strategies. JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist will work with company leadership to successfully execute human resources programs, initiatives, and policies to maintain equitable and consistent development and treatment of company personnel. This position reports to the General Manager with dotted line reporting to Novaria Group Corporate Human Resources. This role manages a variety of Human Resources (HR) and administrative office activities. Ensures work is performed ethically while achieving the objectives stated in the Company Quality Policy. Ensures work is completed efficiently and properly while practicing safety policies and procedures.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure company compliance with all State and Federal regulatory agencies and employment laws.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure Payroll for all employees is timely and accurate by collecting data from employees, supervisors, and managers for payroll processing.
- Update employee records within Paycor, enter new and revised payroll details, including contact info, tax deductions, insurance details, loans, garnishments, 401(k) elections, etc.
- Develop and maintain workforce staffing plans by partnering with site leadership to achieve company goals.
- Manage benefits administration processes. Includes benefits enrollment, assisting employees with benefits questions, reconciling monthly invoices, and related escalations.
- Manage the employment onboarding process. Includes managing applicant websites, delegating to and managing recruiting firms, development, and issuance of offers for employment, background and drug screening, onboarding, compliance. Provide employees with required government and company documents.
- Assist with compliance reporting (ACA, EEO1, 401k audit, etc.).
- Maintain the security, organization, and confidentiality of employee personal, medical, and financial records. Advise employees on insurance and 401(k) plans and support enrollment as required.
- Support themanagement team with monitoring and managing employee performance processes. To include coaching and mentorship, training and development, performance management, and performance improvement planning.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to company leadership regarding Human Resources practices and problem resolutions. Conduct process improvements on policies and procedures as needed.
- Prepare required documentation for termination, conduct exit interviews, issue final paychecks, notify COBRA administrator, cancel insurance as applicable.
- Assists management in maintaining the company safety program. Includes training, documentation management, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee information.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
This position requires regular contact both inside and outside the company in order to carry out company policy and programs; and requires abilities of persuasion and negotiation. This position often deals with persons of substantially higher rank in these instances.DECISION MAKING
This position requires frequent decision making and the ability to plan and perform unusual or difficult work with general operation methods/procedures.JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
- Authorization to work in the United States required.
- University undergraduate education is strongly preferred, but not required. Job knowledge equivalent is also acceptable.
- Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), Professional Human Resources (PHR), or SHRM
- CP preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years' experience in a corporate Human Resources department. Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.SKILLS REQUIRED
- Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations in California.
- Communication and Networking skills.
- Recruiting and Staffing skills.
- Leadership and Managerial skills.
- Administrative and Organizational skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) is helpful when dealing with color-coded documents. Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up/down or to the left/right while eyes are fixed on a given point. Physical demands are minimal. Needs to work with computers, access the internet, and use various computer software programs. Travel requires appropriate vision for transportation on their own.Pay:
