Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a broad range of people operations activities in Tustin, California. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can balance day-to-day HR administration with employee support, recruiting coordination, and compliance tracking. The role will partner across core HR functions, maintain accurate records and systems, and help ensure employees receive timely, organized support throughout the employment lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll-related processing and reporting activities, investigate discrepancies, and help maintain accurate HR data across systems.
- Maintain organized employee files and documentation, ensuring records are complete, current, and handled with confidentiality.
- Process employee status updates and support benefits administration and leave of absence workflows from initiation through follow-up.
- Coordinate recruiting operations across the full staffing cycle, including scheduling, applicant tracking, and initial candidate screening activities.
- Lead onboarding logistics for new employees, ensuring required paperwork, communication, and orientation steps are completed on time.
- Track compliance obligations such as required training, safety documentation, and other HR-related regulatory records.
- Provide administrative support for employee engagement efforts, including Culture Club activities and other team initiatives as needed.
- Update and maintain HR intranet content so employees have access to current policies, forms, and resources. Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience with responsibility across multiple human resources functions.
- Background supporting areas such as payroll, employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, recruiting, and compliance.
- Ability to manage several priorities independently while using sound judgment and protecting confidential information.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite in an HR setting.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and relevant human resources experience preferred.
- HR certification is strongly preferred; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- Experience handling HR administrative work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, with multi-employer support considered a plus.
