As the HR Generalist you will oversee the ongoing operations of all employee benefit activities; these activities include general benefit delivery, benefit plans, systems management, problem resolution, personnel supervision, documentation, ensuring responsible work performance of vendors and staff, and support of Agency/program mission & values. This position is also responsible for the administration of FMLA and Worker Compensation claims and provides general HR back up as needed.
Specific duties include:
Benefits Management Manages all employer sponsored benefits effectively, assuring effective response on issues. Monitors benefits processes to ensure compliance with enterprise & legal standards. Monitors the benefits budget, maintaining cost and results-effective resources. Effectively resolves all benefits issues, and manages claims. Oversees the Carrier Connections process with Paycom to ensure correct functioning. Works collaboratively with Payroll to ensure that payroll/benefit activities run effectively. Analyzes data to identify areas of concern, effectively using enterprise resources/contacts to resolve concerns. Designs, implements, and evaluates Paycom systems to effectively monitor benefit and employment activities. Provides strong internal customer service to managers/supervisors in helping them to understand/execute benefit and general HR concerns. FMLA and Worker Compensation Develops, updates, and maintains the FMLA and Worker Comp data systems. Provides managers and supervisors with updated FMLA and Worker Comp report information. Calculates Benefit cost options and provides this information to the employee in a timely and correct manner. Provides benefit reports as needed averages, and any issue that develops. Understands basic HR deliverables. Provides effective back-up and support to other HR components. Effectively interfaces with enterprise leadership to assist in broad range of HR concerns. Provides clear and competent training on HR topics as needed.
What you need:
A High School diploma or GED is required for this position. An Associate's degree in a Human Resources, Business, Accounting or related field of study and two years of relevant work experience is preferred.
