Recruiter/Onboarding Specialist Job Type:
Full-time Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8-hour shift

In Office About the Role We are looking for an organized, motivated, and people-focused Recruiter/Onboarding Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will manage the recruitment process from sourcing and interviewing candidates to coordinating onboarding and ensuring a positive new hire experience. You will play a key role in attracting top talent while supporting a smooth and compliant hiring process. Responsibilities Recruitment Post and manage job openings across multiple recruiting platforms. Source qualified candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and community outreach. Review applications, conduct phone screenings, and schedule interviews. Interview candidates and evaluate qualifications for open positions. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to support ongoing staffing needs. Onboarding Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment requirements. Prepare new hire paperwork and onboarding documentation. Schedule orientation and ensure all onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on time. Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process. Communication & Collaboration Maintain regular communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process. Partner with department leaders to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities. Represent the organization professionally while promoting our mission, culture, and values. Compliance & Administration Maintain accurate applicant tracking and employee records. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Protect the confidentiality of employee and applicant information. Prepare recruitment reports and hiring metrics as requested. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Previous experience in recruiting, onboarding, human resources, staffing, or talent acquisition preferred. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and HRIS platforms is preferred. Experience recruiting in healthcare or social services is a plus. $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
