THE ROLE

The Position:
The Human Resources Intern will support the Corporate Human Resources team in delivering key people initiatives that support Great Dane's enterprise workforce and business operations. This internship provides exposure to core human resources functions including HR operations, workforce analytics, employee engagement, organizational development, and enterprise HR programs. The intern will partner with HR professionals on projects that improve HR processes, support business leaders, and strengthen the employee experience across the organization. This role provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate and manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day HR operations including employee documentation, HRIS updates, personnel records management, and compliance with HR policies and procedures. Assist with onboarding and new hire processes including documentation, orientation coordination, and employee integration activities. Support employee engagement and culture initiatives including recognition programs, internal communications, and employee events. Assist HR team members with workforce data analysis and reporting including HR metrics, organizational data, and workforce insights. Participate in HR projects related to organizational development, performance management, leadership development, and workforce planning. Assist in maintaining HR documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Provide support for HR programs including performance review cycles, employee surveys, training initiatives, and policy updates. Help develop HR resources and internal communications that support employees and leaders across the organization. Participate in special HR projects focused on improving HR processes and the employee experience. Provide limited support to recruiting coordination activities such as interview scheduling and candidate communication when needed. Other duties as assigned.
Anticipated Projects:
Communication template and management in SharePoint site FreshService analytics / management CXM tagging, pipeline building, manual and AI campaigns Help maintain payroll procedures, checklists, and process documentation. Support garnishment, tax notice, or payroll inquiry tracking and documentation. Help organize and maintain benefits records, files, and documentation for compliance and audit readiness. Assist with employee benefits education initiatives, including preparing presentation materials and FAQs. Qualifications
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
)
Education:
Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's degree in HR.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Positive attitude, high energy, enthusiastic and detail oriented. Recruit and evaluate applicants using independent judgment and discretion. Proactive in anticipating issues and following through on resolution. Effective in prioritizing and executing tasks. Ability to quickly learn, understand and apply new technologies. Understand administrative procedures and systems. Expert in Microsoft Office.

SALARY RANGE
