JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the full scope of human resources functions at A-TEC Ambulance, Inc., including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, maintaining employee records & benefits administration. This role ensures workforce readiness and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced EMS environment while promoting a positive and professional workplace culture for current and future employees.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities. Organizational and time management skills. Confidentiality and professional discretion. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) (preferred).
Experience :
Minimum 2-4 years of HR experience (required). Experience in healthcare, EMS, or public safety environment strongly (preferred). Experience with multi-site or shift-based workforce (preferred).
Working Conditions:
Blend of Office based & Recruiting events with frequent interaction in operational/field. Exposure to moderate noise and fast-paced work conditions. Occasional travel between locations and recruitment events.
