Job Description

Bridgeway Inc. is seeking a passionate and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to join our team and help shape the employee experience — ensuring that our staff have the tools, guidance, and support they need to thrive while serving our community. The Human Resources Generalist will perform the daily functions of Human Resources (HR) including hiring, benefits, leave of absence, and support of company policies and procedures. This role is hands on with customer service being the foundation. The HR Generalist ensures that employees and leaders receive timely, accurate, and customer centered HR assistance. Summarized Responsibilities Provides recruiting support for designated locations and the hiring manager for open positions. Collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Extends offer of employment. Conducts background checks, regulatory agency checks and employee eligibility verifications. Maintains annual required checks. Provides new hire orientation meetings and support employee recognition programs. Performs tasks to support human resource programs to include compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and culture; occupational health and safety; and training development. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Manage unemployment claims, leave of absences, benefit claims and maintain documentation. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Ensure accuracy for all payroll changes and benefit enrollments for all areas. Organize, coordinate, and route all payroll changes to appropriate locations for processing. Performs exit process for terminations and ensures all company assets are allocated. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or
Experience:
Associate's degree in human resources or related, or 2+ years of previous HR experience in lieu of degree preferred.
