Job Description

Job Summary:
XPAC's Human Resource Assistant provides administrative support to XPAC's Benefits department, with an emphasis in assisting with benefits administration for health plans, 401k, and COBRA, record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions. Assists with benefits administration, which includes items such as sorting mail, processing return mail, coordinating mailings and printing, updating orientation materials and new hire paperwork, sending COBRA and HIPAA initial notices to new hires and other general benefits administration. Processes termination paperwork for COBRA Files and maintains Benefits and Personnel files Performs verification of employment requests as needed Processes benefit enrollments and updates/maintains benefits in HR system Participates/Leads other Ad hoc projects for XPAC's benefits department
Education and Experience:
High school diploma/GED required, higher education preferred. At least two years related experience required.
Required Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures. Strong time management skills with a track record of consistently meeting deadlines Ability to function well in a high-paced environment/ability to multitask Proficient with
Microsoft Office Suite Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
