This is a Salaried position.
Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Employee Relations Specialist performs HR related duties and works closely with leaders to provide HR support and direction, especially around performance management. The HR Employee Relations Specialist will collaborate with the HR Employee Relations Specialists II as needed due to volume or complexity. Works independently to conduct appropriate investigations, manage documentation, provide reports, and assist with other projects as needed.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
1 year experience working in Human Resources or a related professional office or setting.
Other skills/ knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. General understanding of employment law in order to recognize potential risk.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
2 years' experience working in a Human Resource department in order to gain knowledge of effective employee relations and retention.
Other skills/ knowledge:
Working knowledge of relevant Human Capital Management system and HR Information Systems. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
