We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Generalist to support our team and help foster a positive, professional, and compliant workplace. Position Summary The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted resource for employees, managers, and leadership across the practice. This position will support a broad range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, employee engagement, and HR recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is approachable, highly organized, discreet, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires sound judgment, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary HR resource for employees across clinical, administrative, and support departments. Partner with managers and leadership to address employee relations matters, performance concerns, workplace issues, and policy questions. Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and pre-employment requirements. Facilitate new-hire onboarding and orientation and ensure required employment documentation is completed accurately and timely. Administer employee benefits and assist employees with benefit-related questions and enrollment processes. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR information systems. Assist with payroll-related HR processes, including employee status changes, timekeeping questions, and other employment updates. Support performance review processes and assist managers with performance improvement plans and documentation. Interpret and consistently administer company policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines. Monitor and support compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and healthcare workplace requirements. Assist with leave administration, including
FMLA, ADA
accommodations, and other applicable leaves. Coordinate employee communications, engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and staff events. Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate workforce data and records. Assist with workplace safety initiatives, workers' compensation matters, and required employment postings and documentation. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling personnel, compensation, medical leave, and other sensitive information. Stay current on HR best practices, employment regulations, and trends affecting healthcare employers. Perform other HR-related duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of progressive HR experience , preferably in a healthcare, medical practice, or similarly regulated environment. Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices. Experience with employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and performance management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is preferred.
