Job Description
gpac is partnered with a growing global CPG manufacturer seeking a Senior People & Engagement Generalist to support its manufacturing facility in Mishawaka, IN. This role serves as the primary People & Engagement representative for the site and partners closely with plant leadership to support recruiting, employee relations, engagement, compliance, performance management, and workforce development. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, coaching leaders, solving employee issues, and helping create a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Salary is 70-90k depending on experience with other great benefits! Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions Coordinate interviews, offers, background checks, onboarding, and new hire orientation Serve as the primary People & Engagement resource for employees and supervisors Coach leaders through employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions Support performance reviews, employee development, and coaching initiatives Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS documentation Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational initiatives Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and retention programs Support onboarding, compliance training, and safety initiatives in partnership with EHS Promote a positive culture built on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience Manufacturing, food production, distribution, or industrial experience preferred Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and performance management Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships across the organization HRIS and Microsoft Office experience required SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, APPLY TODAY for immediate consideration or reach out directly to Chelsea at Chelsea.
