Job Description

This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources and preferably a Bachelor's degree or higher from a reputable school in business or an HR related field. The qualified applicant must have knowledge and experience in employee relations, hourly & salaried recruiting and staffing, policy administration and compliance, compensation and benefits administration, training and safety & health compliance, attendance and leave administration, associate relations, unemployment claims, etc. This position also requires a good working knowledge of and experience with labor laws including the FLSA, Civil Rights Act, Wage & Hour laws and specifically the ADA, FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Workers Comp., UI, etc. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and counselor relations skills, a positive and professional attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Also must be able to work well independently, be organized and able to handle many, varied and changing responsibilities simultaneously and effectively and be a proactive, productive and dedicated team player. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and have experience with a payroll processing and reporting program such as Ceridian or ADP. This position will report directly to the Manager for Human Resources with a dotted line to the General Manager for Human resources.
