We are organized into two operating segments. Each segment focuses on providing our customers with full-line coverage of its products, and a full suite of complementary services that are tailored to our customers' business needs and driving end-user demand for our products. Our Engine Management Segment manufactures and distributes a full line of critical components for the ignition, electrical, emissions, fuel and safety-related systems of motor vehicles. Our Temperature Control Segment manufactures and distributes a full line of critical components for the temperature control (air conditioning and heating) systems, engine cooling systems, power window accessories and windshield washer systems of motor vehicles. We sell our products primarily to automotive aftermarket retailers, program distribution groups, warehouse distributors, original equipment manufacturers and original equipment service part operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Mexico and other Latin American countries. We employ approximately 4,300 people in North America, Europe and Asia.
Position Detail:
Under the general direction of the Human Resources Manager, perform all assigned HR and related tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform duties including but not limited to processing weekly payroll for workforce, benefits, leaves, talent management, workers comp, onboarding, training as required.
  • Track time, attendance and headcount reporting
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Participate and develop employee engagement activities that help build company culture
  • Interact with employees and answer questions
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding for new employees
  • Manage hiring process by sorting resumes, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and candidate communication
  • Coordinate temporary employee staffing
  • Update HRIS as necessary and run required reports
  • Prepare and maintain badges and door entry database
  • Maintain bulletin boards
  • Complete projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role required. A minimum of three to five years of experience is strongly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP a plus
  • Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Demonstrated computer skills to include HRIS and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated clerical skills
  • Accurate & dependable
  • Prior experience working in an HR department
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Other physical demands: sitting, standing and walking; occasional bending/stooping; exposure to hot, cold, and dust
