Payroll / HR Specialist AMMON Staffing is hiring an experienced Payroll/HR professional in Geismar, LA! Must have payroll experience with multiple pay rates, prevailing wage projects, and certified payroll reporting.

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Payroll/HR professional to join a very fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, particularly with government prevailing wage projects, multiple pay rates, overtime calculations, and certified payroll reporting. This position requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to stay focused and complete tasks accurately despite a busy office environment. Key Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and efficiently. Process payroll involving multiple pay rates and government prevailing wage requirements. Calculate overtime based on different pay rates and applicable requirements. Prepare and submit certified payroll reports. Maintain accurate payroll and employee records. Provide HR and administrative support as needed. Review payroll information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Handle confidential employee and payroll information. Meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Work independently while also communicating effectively with the team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field. Extensive payroll and/or HR experience. Experience with certified payroll reporting is strongly preferred. Experience processing payroll for government prevailing wage projects is highly preferred. Experience handling multiple pay rates and calculating overtime based on different rates. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines. Ability to remain focused and productive in a busy, fast-paced office. Strong computer and data-entry skills. Must demonstrate a stable, long-term employment history. What We're Looking For We need someone who can hit the ground running. This is a fast-paced office, so the ability to stay focused, work independently, manage competing priorities, and get tasks completed without becoming distracted is extremely important.
