Senior Human Resources Generalist Solstice Consulting Group - 5.0 Lafayette, LA Job Details $80,000 - $85,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Microsoft Outlook Spreadsheets Payroll management Full Job Description Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Human Resources Specialist to join our energy client based in Lafayette, Louisiana. Role is office based with 10% domestic travel. Bachelors Degree a plus (HR Preferred) and 7+ years of Human Resources experience required Experience with HR Compliance, Payroll, Benefits and Generalist duties required Experience in the energy industry sector preferred Base salary of $80k - $85k DOE plus benefits
Role Responsibilities:
The primary focus will be providing Human Resources support to company employees within the Southern United States Interviews, facilitates and outboards new hires and provides company HR orientations Reviews, tracks, and documents HR compliance with training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include HR/HSE training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law. Collaborates with businesses leaders to understand their business objectives and key operational metrics and develops HR strategies to support those needs. Works with Corporate management team to communicate and implement HR initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree a plus (HR Preferred) and 7+ years of Human Resources experience required Experience in the energy industry sector preferred SHRM-CP or PHR certificate preferred Strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize and negotiate deadlines with multiple stakeholders Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite - PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access.
