Job Description
HR GeneralistPosition Summary The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations in a fast-paced office and manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, people-focused position with a strong emphasis on recruiting, onboarding, employee support, employee relations, and general HR administration. The HR Generalist will serve as a local HR resource for employees, supervisors, and managers while working closely with a broader Human Resources team. Because the HR team may be geographically dispersed, the successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities with minimal day-to-day supervision, and maintaining consistent communication with HR leadership and team members in other locations. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the primary local HR contact for routine employee and management questions. Partner with hiring managers and supervisors to identify staffing needs and coordinate recruitment efforts. Create, post, and maintain job postings and recruitment advertisements. Review applications, conduct candidate screenings, and coordinate interviews. Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process and provide a professional candidate experience. Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and other pre-employment requirements. Prepare offer letters and coordinate the transition from candidate to new hire. Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including required paperwork, I-9 verification, orientation, training, and system access. Ensure new employees are accurately entered into HR, payroll, timekeeping, and other applicable systems. Assist payroll with employee questions, payroll corrections, and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee records and personnel files. Assist employees with questions regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, and HR processes. Support supervisors and managers with attendance, performance, and routine employee relations matters. Document employee concerns and escalate complex or sensitive issues to HR leadership as appropriate. Process employee changes, including transfers, promotions, status changes, and other personnel updates. Support employee offboarding, including required documentation, system updates, and coordination of company property returns. Assist with employee engagement, recognition, and other local HR initiatives. Maintain regular communication with HR leadership and team members located in other regions. Participate in virtual HR meetings, training, and team collaboration as needed. Ensure HR processes and documentation are administered consistently and in accordance with company policies and applicable employment requirements. Maintain a professional, approachable, and service-oriented presence throughout the organization. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar HR role. Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and general HR administration. Working knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and compliance requirements. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish. Previous experience in a manufacturing, oil & gas, industrial, or field-service environment. Experience recruiting skilled trades, manufacturing, technical, or production personnel. Familiarity with ADP or similar HRIS and payroll systems. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Work Environment On-site position in an office and manufacturing environment. Ability to move between office, shop, and production areas as needed. Standard business hours with flexibility as needed to support recruiting, onboarding, employee needs, and business operations. Regular virtual communication and collaboration with HR team members in other locations. Fast-paced, production-driven environment requiring strong organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
Compensation / Level
The level at which a candidate is hired will be determined based on the individual's qualifications, skill level, and previous related experience.Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
