Onboarding Specialist ???? Linthicum, MD - Onsite ???? $26.00 per hour ???? Temporary, Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Onboarding Specialist to provide temporary coverage during a team member's maternity leave. In this role, you will help guide participant employers through the employee hiring and onboarding process while ensuring all documentation, screenings, training requirements, and employment eligibility records meet regulatory and organizational standards.What You'll Do:
Facilitate the onboarding process for new and returning employees Review and process new-hire documentation, payroll forms, and background screenings Assist with Form I-9 completion and employment eligibility verification Track required employee training, certifications, and expiration dates Respond to onboarding questions, service tickets, and escalated emails Support benefits administration and other onboarding-related activities Maintain accurate records and meet required processing deadlinesWhat We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources preferred At least two years of experience processing new-hire documentation in a Human Resources environment Experience working with HRIS, payroll, or onboarding technology Basic understanding of employment law and hiring compliance Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional, responsive, and confident handling sensitive or challenging situations Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and related HR technology This position requires someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver an excellent experience in a fast-paced environment.Please note:
