Job Description

HR Generalist - Benefits is responsible for maintaining accurate employee benefit enrollment by monitoring new hire election process; processing elections on the benefit carrier websites and auditing/processing all benefit invoices. Position will field questions from employees regarding the benefit offerings and assist them to make changes to benefit elections during the year. This could include assisting the employees with filing claims. Position will be responsible for assisting with FMLA requests and ACA monitoring. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or similar degree with at least five years of demonstrated human resources work experience Three years' work experience as a human resources professional managing employee record maintenance with a focus on employee benefits Demonstrated familiarity with HRIS (Paycom), online benefit systems and insurance carrier portal sites; responsibility for payroll coordination preferred Ability to extract data, build reports, and analyze information utilizing Microsoft Excel Knowledge of employee benefit administration, FMLA and ACA Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and professionalism toward internal and external customers Willingness to promptly research and resolve benefit coverage issues Prior union experience is helpful Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-Certified Professional (CP) preferred Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance
