Description:
INTRODUCTION
This position reports to the HR Business Partner. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
Responsible for general as well as collaborative support of the JOST International Human Resources Department and Human Resources Business Partner as directed.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Include, but are not limited to: a) Recruiting lead for the for general production and skilled trades positions. b) Using defined company processes, conducts new hire sourcing, screening, interviewing, in collaboration with the HR team and operations leadership and within the scope of the company budget. c) Schedules pre-employment testing, meets with general labor and skilled labor new hires on hire date and communication/demonstrate JOST Internationals orientation/onboarding process. d) Administrates HR advertising and candidate advertising reach methods to include billboards, social media and similar. e) Processing new hires and current employees into the HCM/Payroll system, support daily time and attendance processing, disciplinary attendance point write ups and communication to department leadership of, as well as update various company labor related spreadsheets for accurate HR data. f) Timely processing of terminations/off-boarding activities in JOST's HCM and associated systems. g) Maintains accurate employee records, spreadsheets, files to include review/auditing of invoices and related for accuracy. h) Provides input for updates to HR forms and documents. i) Maintain confidential nature of all HR records, actions, practices and issues. j) Employee relations & informs the HR Business Partner of disciplinary issues other than attendance and points. k) Works with the HR Business Partner in the annual production department performance review process. l) Liaison for various projects to include assisting the Human Resources Business Partner on various projects as assigned. m) Attend seminars and training related to HR employment, employment law/labor law and/or other HR related topics. n) Provides collaborative support for continued organizational growth to include but not limited to; employee engagement, retention, new strategies and ideas for efficiency, and similar. o) Support of safety initiatives and Tier 2 & Tier 3. p) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
a) Bachelor's degree in related field with a minimum of one year of previous experience in the Human Resources field. b) Ability to obtain related HR certificates. c) Ability to gain knowledge in compliance, recruiting, timekeeping, performance management, employment law, HR Generalist activities. d) Solid working knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and Outlook. e) Ability to take initiative and work independently but also as part of a highly effective team. f) Strong emotional intelligence, planning, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. g) Demonstrated ability to listen attentively and actively. h) Excellent communication skills both in both oral and written as well as the ability to facility group meetings. i) Highly dependable with the ability to handle multiple projects at various stages of completion, successfully, timely and accurately. j) Ability to gain knowledge of company products and company quality procedures. k) Ability to learn and understand JOST International Basic Processes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
a) Primarily office based with minimal travel. b) Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and engage in physical activities typical of office and manufacturing environments. c) Occasionally required to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
