We're seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and supporting employees throughout every stage of the employment lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to expand their experience across employee relations, recruitment, investigations, compliance, HR systems, and organizational support while making a meaningful impact within a mission-driven nonprofit. As one of the primary points of contact for Human Resources, you'll partner with employees, supervisors, and leadership to provide outstanding HR service while helping maintain a positive, compliant, and employee-focused workplace. What You'll Do As our Human Resources Generalist, you will: Serve as the primary contact for employee and applicant Human Resources inquiries. Provide guidance regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment practices. Support recruitment efforts including applicant communications, interview scheduling, hiring events, and onboarding. Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities. Conduct or assist with employee relations matters and workplace investigations. Prepare corrective action documentation and maintain confidential personnel records. Assist with HRIS administration, employee status changes, and reporting. Support benefits administration, leave management, and employment verifications. Monitor compliance with licensing, certifications, mandatory training, and employment regulations. Maintain accurate personnel files and HR documentation. Assist with audits, policy implementation, and Human Resources projects. Provide cross-functional support across all Human Resources functions as organizational needs require. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High School Diploma required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred Minimum three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience Experience with employee relations and workplace investigations Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism Experience using Microsoft 365, HRIS systems, and applicant tracking systems Ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience HRIS administration Policy and procedure development Recruitment and onboarding Compliance and personnel records management Technology platforms supporting Human Resources operations Why Join Wolverine Human Services?
