This role is open ONLY to US Citizens or Green Card holders as all candidates must be ITAR compliant (International Traffic & Arms Regulations). Candidates who are H1B or F1 (OPT/CPT) candidates are NOT permitted in this role. This role is NOT open to corp2corp (C2C) or corp2hire (C2H). Kawasaki Robotics is seeking an experienced Human Resources Representative to join its team in Wixom, Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and supporting a wide range of HR functions. The Human Resources Representative will play an important role in supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, and other HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and coordinate all talent acquisition activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, offer creation, and background and employment verification Lead new hire orientation and onboarding activities, both in person and virtually Manage HR administrative functions, including personnel files, HRIS data entry, benefits open enrollment, and training and development/LMS administration Manage workers' compensation administration and claims management for employees in the U.S. and Canada Develop relationships with local occupational health clinics Prepare and maintain OSHA compliance documentation, including
OSHA 300, OSHA 300A
Annual Summary, and
OSHA 301
Incident Reports Provide guidance and support to expatriate employees arriving at the Wixom and San Jose offices Assist with health and welfare benefits, auto leases, immigration letters, and relocation-related processes Lead employee engagement and recognition initiatives, including service awards and recognition programs Cross-train with the payroll administrator to provide backup support and assist with Paid Time Off inquiries Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company requirements Support audits and reporting requirements, including I-9s, EEO reporting, unemployment claims, and labor postings Partner with HR leadership on employee relations concerns, complaints, and investigations Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 3-5 years of previous Human Resources experience Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Michigan and California Previous experience supporting talent acquisition and recruiting activities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Experience using HRIS systems and
Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications:
Professional HR certification, including SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR Experience with ADP Payroll or Workforce Manager Previous Learning Management System experience Experience administering employee benefits Experience working on a small, hands-on HR team
Physical Requirements:
