We're looking for an HR Project Consultant to partner with leaders and teams across Human Resources to deliver high-impact initiatives that advance business and people priorities. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor, project leader, and portfolio partner—guiding projects from strategy through execution while helping stakeholders navigate ambiguity, build alignment, strengthen governance, and drive meaningful organizational change. This role is located at our Arden Hills, MN Corporate Headquarters (In office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week) What You'll do: You'll manage medium- to large-scale projects that require cross-functional coordination, stakeholder engagement, from planning through thoughtful execution and closure. In this role, you will: Partner with sponsors and project owners to define objectives, scope, priorities, success measures, and outcomes while identifying, assessing and mitigating risks, dependencies and barriers to project success Develop comprehensive project plans, governance frameworks, communication strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, timelines, milestones, and RAID logs Coordinate implementation, testing, training, change management, and adoption activities Drive accountability and momentum while helping teams successfully navigate ambiguity and competing priorities Maintain and improve HR portfolio reporting and tracking processes Oversee and support the governance and maintenance of HR's Products and Services Catalog Provide ad hoc consultation to HR teams and project owners on project planning, governance, implementation, and execution strategies Develop and deliver project management tools, resources, training and best practices to build project management capability and consistency across the HR function Facilitate HR project owner forums and roundtables to promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and adoption of project management disciplines Successful candidates will: Bring structure and focus to complex initiatives Navigate competing priorities with confidence and sound judgment Anticipate risks and proactively address challenges Communicate effectively with project teams, leaders, and executives Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution Drive measurable progress while building trust and creating alignment among diverse stakeholders
Required Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
Bachelor's degree. 6+ years of professional experience in Human Resources or related field 3+ years leading projects, consulting engagements, or strategic initiatives, in Human Resources (preferred) Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills Ability to influence without formal authority Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience operating in highly matrixed environments
