Human Resources Generalist
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reports To Director of Finance & Strategy Employment Type Full-Time Position Summary Thousand Hills Lifetime Grazed is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Human Resources Generalist to support our growing organization and mission of producing regenerative, 100% grass-fed beef while nourishing soil, plants, cattle, and people. This position serves as a trusted resource for employees and leadership by administering core HR functions, maintaining compliance, supporting employee engagement, and helping build a culture aligned with our values and growth objectives. The HR Generalist is responsible for day-to-day human resources operations across multiple business functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, policy administration, training, compliance, payroll, and HR recordkeeping. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, background checks, and offer processes.
  • Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain job descriptions and assist managers with workforce planning needs.
  • Support employee training and development initiatives. Employee Relations
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues.
  • Partner with managers to resolve employee relations matters in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner.
  • Promote a positive work environment that reflects company values and culture.
  • Assist with employee engagement programs and recognition initiatives. HR Administration
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records.
  • Process employee status changes, terminations, leaves of absence, and other employment transactions.
  • Administer benefits enrollment and assist employees with benefit-related questions.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment activities. Compliance & Policy Administration
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Administer company policies and employee handbook provisions.
  • Assist with investigations and documentation related to employment matters.
  • Support workplace safety initiatives and workers' compensation claims administration.
  • Maintain required employment records and labor law postings. Performance Management & Development
  • Support performance review processes and manager coaching efforts.
  • Assist with performance improvement plans and corrective action documentation.
  • Coordinate employee training programs and leadership development initiatives.
  • Track required training and compliance certifications. Payroll & Reporting Support
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including review of time records, employee changes, deductions, benefits, and payroll-related audits to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
  • Partner with payroll providers and internal finance teams to ensure accuracy of employee data.
  • Assist with payroll audits and verification processes.
  • Prepare HR metrics and reports, including headcount, turnover, recruiting activity, and training participation. QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, food production, agriculture, distribution, or operational environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of multi-state employment law preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll platforms preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Primarily office-based with periodic visits to production, warehouse, and operational facilities.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use computer equipment for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel to company locations, recruiting events, or training functions may be required. Benefits

Pay:
$53,500.00 - $63,500.00 per year
