Job Description
Job Summary 100% On-Site M-F The Senior HRIS Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the human capital management (HCM) system for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) and its Tribal Operations departments and enterprises. This includes overseeing maintenance of the system, ensuring data integrity, and delivering exceptional support across the organization. The Senior HRIS Analyst is instrumental in implementing system upgrades and enhancements and collaborates closely with stakeholders to ensure that new features and technical solutions are aligned with business needs. This role also involves analyzing system performance and recommending improvements to enhance overall functionality and efficiency. Primary Job Duties Serve as the primary HRIS subject matter expert, owning enhancements, configurations, and ongoing optimization of HR systems, along with data integrity and compliance. Manage day-to-day HRIS operations, including user access, system maintenance, and issue resolution. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and report solutions that communicate workforce trends, including headcount, turnover, hiring, and other metrics. Establish and maintain HRIS governance standards, including security roles, reporting definition, and data completeness and accuracy while supporting the HR technology roadmap. Maintain organizational data structure and make changes when needed. Continuously evolve HR reports and analytics capabilities to move to more predictive insights. Develop ways to create better user experience. Partner with Tribal Operations leaders and HR to translate business challenges into scalable solutions including automation, workflow optimization, and process improvements that streamline HR operations. Partner with other HRIS team members to maintain configuration, release readiness, and enhancements within the HCM system. Create and maintain process documentation. Investigate, analyze, test, and resolve issues or questions while providing support to team members and HR. Support the education of users on the use of the HCM system and its features. Support initiatives throughout the year, including but not limited to annual performance reviews, merit administration, and benefits open enrollment.
