Job Description

Position Summary Architectural Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated and professional Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations across multiple departments and facilities. This position plays a key role in recruiting, employee relations, investigations, payroll support, benefits administration, compliance, onboarding, and reporting. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, approachable, and capable of handling confidential information while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruiting & Staffing Assist with recruiting efforts including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires Maintain applicant tracking and hiring documentation Assist department managers with staffing needs and interview scheduling Employee Relations & Investigations Assist with employee relations matters and workplace concerns Conduct and document workplace investigations as directed Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive situations Support disciplinary processes and documentation Help ensure company policies are consistently enforced Payroll & Timekeeping Support Assist with payroll preparation and timecard review Review attendance records, missed punches, and timekeeping corrections Maintain employee demographic and payroll-related records Benefits Administration Assist employees with benefit enrollment and questions Assist with benefit paperwork and qualifying life event changes Help maintain benefit records and assist during open enrollment periods Communicate benefit information to employees in a professional manner Compliance & Reporting Assist with HR compliance including I-9s, personnel files, OSHA logs, and required documentation Maintain employee records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements Assist with HR reporting, audits, and data tracking Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies General HR Support Maintain confidentiality of all employee and company information Assist with employee communications, policies, and HR initiatives Support safety culture and company expectations Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Previous HR, payroll, recruiting, or administrative experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience with HRIS/payroll systems preferred Manufacturing environment experience preferred Preferred Skills Experience with employee investigations and documentation Familiarity with employment laws and HR compliance Payroll or benefits administration experience Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Ability to occasionally visit production areas within manufacturing facilities Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Retirement plan options Work Environment This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments.
