Job Description
HR Generalist Onsite | Chapel Hill, NC (Transitions to Timberlake, NC in Q4 2026) Full-Time | Exempt About the Role We're seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support day-to-day Human Resources operations across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and HR programs. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers while helping ensure compliance and a positive employee experience. What You'll Do Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR questions Support employee relations, investigations, and corrective action processes Coordinate recruiting activities, interview scheduling, and job postings Manage onboarding and offboarding, including I-9s and background checks Assist with benefits enrollment, life events, and open enrollment Support payroll administration activities and HRIS data accuracy Assist with compliance activities (FMLA, ADA, COBRA, EEO, OSHA, wage & hour) Maintain employee records and prepare HR reports and metrics Support performance management, training, and HR projects What We're Looking For 5+ years of progressive HR experience Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, benefits, and compliance Experience with Workday, ADP, or similar HRIS systems Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Manufacturing or high-growth environment experience preferred Preferred SHRM-CP or PHR certification Payroll and/or time tracking experience Experience supporting industrial or manufacturing operations Voltage Energy is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
