Job Description

Ward County Human Service Zone is hiring a Human Resource Generalist in Minot, North Dakota This position is available to current Ward County Human Service Zone employees only. Ward County Human Service Zone is looking to fill a Human Resource Generalist position. The purpose of this position is to provide Human Resources & administrative support for the Ward County Human Service Zone, and to focus on recruitment and the employee life cycle. Human Resource Generalist example of duties includes but are not limited to: Coordinate and manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, and hiring documentation. Prepare and conduct onboarding for new employees; ensure all forms, clearances, and system access are completed accurately. Maintain accurate personnel files, records, and HR databases in compliance with County and State requirements. Process employee lifecycle actions such as new hires, promotions, transfers, and separations. Serve as a resource to staff and supervisors on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters. Assist with training coordination, staff communication, and employee recognition efforts. Support compliance with applicable employment laws and internal HR processes. Provide general administrative and HR support as assigned. Payroll and timekeeping procedures. To be considered for this role you are required to have a bachelor's degree in human resources, management, business or related field; High School Diploma or equivalent with a combination of education, training, and at least four years' experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. To thrive in this position, you should have the following: Strong communication and organization skills Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information Experience with HR, payroll, or applicant tracking systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software Computer literacy and regular attendance is required.
