Human Resources Job Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive support across multiple functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance. This role ensures the consistent application of policies and procedures while supporting both employees and leaders in achieving organizational goals. In addition, partners with management to address workplace matters, promote employee engagement, and contribute to a positive organizational culture. This position requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to effectively balance day-to-day operations with strategic initiatives. Essential Functions Oversee the full cycle of recruitment and onboarding, including job postings, applicant screening, interviewing, background screenings, and new hire orientation.

Administer employee benefits programs, leaves of absence, FMLA, workers' compensation, and ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable laws.

Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues; provide guidance and escalate matters as appropriate.

Support employee relations by assisting with investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action in collaboration with leadership.

Coordinate performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, training, and coaching to support employee development.

Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records, HRIS data entry, and preparation of reports for compliance, audits, and leadership needs.

Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of initiatives that enhance engagement, retention, and organizational culture. Collaborate with the Chief Human Resources Officer to maintain smooth daily operations, provide timely updates on key initiatives, priorities, challenges, and workforce needs. Partner with leadership to identify organizational improvements, recommend solutions, and support change management initiatives. Stay informed of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommending updates to policies and procedures as needed. Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives to improve HR services and organizational effectiveness. Maintain and update the HRIS to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and security of employee information; serve as the subject matter expert on system workflows and functionality.

Generate, analyze, and distribute HR reports and dashboards to support decision-making and compliance requirements.

Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with vendors as needed, and implement system upgrades or enhancements.

Provide training and support to team members and managers on HRIS functions and reporting tools. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency through better use of technology.
