Bar Harbor Bank and Trust is seeking an energetic HR Professional to join our organization as a Human Resources Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for performing a variety of human resource related duties at the professional level and carry out responsibilities in one or more of the following functional areas: recruitment, onboarding, administrative support, compliance, or special projects, as assigned. A successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and experience: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (or related field) is preferred; 1 or more years of professional experience. Familiarity and working knowledge of Federal and State employment regulations and HR best practices preferred. Strong organizational skills are essential; a proven ability to track and meet deadlines, including an ability to effectively prioritize a high volume and wide range of tasks. Must possess and exhibit the maturity, poise, polish, presence, intellect, and communication skills necessary to successfully interact with a variety of individuals including the Bank's senior leaders and external candidates of a high professional caliber. Strong computer skills including MS Office, including Excel, and the ability to adapt to various software programs as required.
