Job Description
We are looking for an HR Specialist to join a team for a long-term contract assignment. This role is well suited for someone who can coordinate retirement plan implementation efforts while working closely with internal partners and external vendors. Our client is looking for someone to help with their transition from ADP to Fidelity for their 401(k). The ideal candidate will help keep project activities on track, support accurate employee data handling, and contribute to a smooth and compliant benefits administration process.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and assist with retirement plan conversion activities, ensuring critical deliverables are completed within established deadlines.
- Organize project schedules, key milestones, and implementation tasks to support a successful transition by the targeted timeframe.
- Collaborate with human resources, payroll, benefits teams, and third-party partners to confirm accurate plan configuration and employee data alignment.
- Evaluate existing plan details and support the mapping of participant information into the new provider environment.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving eligibility, payroll deductions, contribution records, and employee data.
- Participate in testing efforts, validate conversion results, and address follow-up issues after implementation.
- Help maintain adherence to retirement plan procedures, compliance expectations, and internal operational standards throughout the project.
- Provide clear status updates, risks, and action items to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
- 3+ years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, or a related HR specialist role.
- Hands-on knowledge of HR administration processes and employee data management.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate records across HR systems.
- Familiarity with onboarding coordination and general employee support practices.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and care in regulated environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and follow issues through resolution.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills when working with internal teams and external vendors.
