Vineland/Millville Area, NJ (On-site) Confidential Search Our client, a growing private equity-backed manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support its operations in the Vineland/Millville area. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that partners closely with employees and leadership to ensure the effective execution of day-to-day HR operations while helping build a strong, engaged, and compliant workforce. Position Overview The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers while supporting a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, compliance, training coordination, and workforce administration. The successful candidate will be organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and manager questions, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters. Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, onboarding, and new hire orientation. Process payroll accurately and on schedule while partnering with Finance to ensure proper review and reporting. Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, leave administration, and employee inquiries. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and data integrity. Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and internal procedures. Maintain organized, audit-ready personnel files and HR documentation. Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, communication, and retention initiatives. Assist with performance management processes, training coordination, policy rollouts, and required compliance training. Manage attendance reporting, documentation, and related workforce administration activities. Prepare HR reports and metrics while identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase operational efficiency. Partner with operations to support onboarding requirements and reinforce a strong workplace safety culture. Qualifications Minimum of five years of progressive Human Resources experience in a broad HR Generalist or HR Operations role. Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits, including retirement plans such as 401(k). Strong understanding of employee relations, employment law, HR policies, and compliance. Experience working with Paycor or another HRIS/payroll platform. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive employee matters. Preferred Qualifications Human Resources experience within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similarly fast-paced operational environment. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification is a plus.
