$25 - $30 per hour Job Details - This position is designed for an experienced HR professional who is comfortable owning a broad HR function and working directly with both employees and leadership. The HR Generalist will serve as the primary HR resource for the organization, balancing employee relations, compliance, recruiting and day-to-day HR administration while providing practical guidance to managers and the CEO. Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and operational leadership, providing guidance around employee relations, attendance, performance, workplace conduct, corrective action, company policy and employment separations, while helping managers apply employment practices consistently across the organization. Manage employee relations matters and support workplace investigations, including employee concerns, interviews, documentation, findings and appropriate follow-up, while identifying recurring issues and recommending practical solutions to leadership. Support recruiting and staffing across hourly and salaried positions, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, offers, pre-employment requirements and onboarding, while working with operational leaders on difficult-to-fill and high-turnover positions. Oversee day-to-day employee lifecycle administration across new hires, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, leaves, terminations, HRIS records, I-9 documentation and offboarding, while maintaining accurate and confidential employee records. Support HR compliance, benefits, leaves and workers' compensation activities while providing manager and employee support around wage and hour requirements, accommodations, workplace policies, return-to-work processes and required HR documentation. Support manager training, employee engagement and retention initiatives and maintain reporting around staffing, turnover, recruiting, attendance and employee relations to help leadership identify workforce trends and operational needs. Qualifications 3+ years of progressive HR experience with strong employee relations and manager-support experience Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and core HR practices Experience supporting hourly employees and frontline managers in restaurant, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, distribution or another operational environment preferred Comfortable operating independently as a primary HR resource and providing recommendations directly to leadership Comfortable using AI tools and incorporating technology into daily work Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered Bilingual English/Spanish preferred A bit about us: - A multi-location organization operating across the restaurant and food manufacturing industries is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to serve as the primary HR resource employees.
