$106,900 - $154,700 annually (salary range is based on market data; final salary offered is determined by education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.) Bechtel's Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. Provides guidance to the Labor Relations (LR) Manager, LR Team, Construction Management, Senior Leadership project and office teams in policy interpretation and LR system/process management. Performs research, internal evaluations, assists various administration tasks as related to Labor Relations functional and/or operational needs. Supports the Sr. LR Analyst. #LI-SM2Major Responsibilities:
Coordinates with projects to resolve LR system related issues. Develops/mantains specialized reporting for Project, Client and/or LR management. Researches and resolves LR policy related issues. Travels as needed to project, Building Trade Union Halls and corporate/home offices. Working and coordinating to support workforce activities. Work extended hours. Monitor and report industry data using multiple sources including subscriptions, internet research, phone calls, and in person visits. Monitor workforce trends and help identify potential labor risks or concerns. Assist in onboarding and workforce integration processes for new hires. Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration or related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in labor relations, human resources, or workforce administration. Experience with data tracking, reporting and workplace systems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong Analytical skills. Basic knowledge of labor laws and union environments.Required Knowledge and Skills:
Project management and organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities. Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, Access and Visio. Knowledge of Etrack, SAP, and/or PowerBI preferred. Broad Labor Relations knowledge in areas of personnel management (e.g., Hires, terms, reclassifications, etc.), Craft Human Resource Information System (CHRIS), Craft Applicant and Requisition System (CARS), and timekeeping systems. Advanced understanding of Bechtel Construction Company (BCC) policies. Understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, System Analysis and Program (SAP), and Microsoft Access. Knowledge of regulations related to areas of Human Resources functions such as hiring, terminating, benefit plan design/administration. Ability to take limited direction and information and create high quality work product to be reviewed by senior management. Familiarity with union workforce training programs or apprenticeship programs. Experience supporting large scale construction or infrastructure projects. Exposure to regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.Total Rewards/Benefits:
