Job Description
DCAS's mission is to make city government work for all New Yorkers. From managing New York City's most iconic courthouses and municipal buildings, to purchasing over $1 billion annually in goods and services for more than 80 City agencies what we do ensures that all agencies can deliver on their mission. Our reach touches every facet of city government and is instrumental to the successful day-to-day operations of the City of New York. Our commitment to equity, effectiveness, and sustainability guides our work providing City agencies with the critical resources and support needed to succeed, including:
- Recruiting, hiring, and training City employees.
- Managing 56 public buildings.
- Acquiring, selling, and leasing City property.
- Purchasing over $1 billion in goods and services for City agencies.
- Overseeing the greenest municipal vehicle fleet in the country.
- Leading the City's efforts to reduce carbon emissions from government operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, coordination, and growth of premier career pipeline and talent development programs, including the HR Academy, Management Academy, Leadership Institute, and other workforce development initiatives.
- Assist with coordinating program logistics, participant communications, registration processes, attendance tracking, and event execution for training and development programs.
- Maintain and analyze program data by creating and managing Excel spreadsheets.
- Develop professional, engaging, and visually compelling presentations, training materials, reports, and event communications using PowerPoint and other presentation software.
- Assist in the delivery of recruitment, outreach, and workforce development events by providing hands-on support to job seekers and promoting career opportunities across City agencies.
- Collaborate with agency partners, program participants, and external stakeholders to support workforce initiatives and enhance the employee learning experience.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and program evaluations to support data-driven decision-making and continuous program improvement.
- Support special projects related to talent development, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist with event planning, meeting coordination, and training logistics, including scheduling, room setup, registration management, and post-event follow-up.
Note:
Duration of employment for anyone appointed to this title who works more than 20 hours per week, will be limited to 65 consecutive work days in any 90 day calendar period.To Apply:
