This position will be based in our Latham, NY headquarters. The Human Resources Associate provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, compliance with policies, and smooth coordination of HR initiatives that foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
Duties include:
Support the Human Resources Department in the administrative areas of new hire processing, personnel and performance evaluation tracking, coordination of benefits administration, ensuring quality service and process efficiency, under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager; Maintain employee files and records in electronic form. Provide support with regard to administrative tasks to include scanning documents, ensuring paperwork is up to date and filed. Maintain HR trackers for various tasks and follow up with any Managers that have outstanding items pro-actively; Provide support to employees on HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise, escalate as needed to the Human Resources Manager; Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries. Partner with the Human Resources Generalist to administer benefit audits to ensure that costs are accurate and correct; Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and general inquiries. Assist with administrative aspects of onboarding, including document collection, system setup, and scheduling. Partner with the Training Associate to ensure new hires receive required training and resources. Coordinate employee engagement activities, events, and recognition programs. Support wellness initiatives and internal communication campaigns. Gather feedback from employees and assist in implementing engagement strategies. Respond to routine HR inquiries and direct employees to appropriate resources. Assist with benefits administration and related documentation. Assist with employee relations matters and escalate as needed.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree required in Human Resources or related field; Proven experience in Human Resources or related field for 1-2 years; Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong technical skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach.
Compensation:
$60,000per year (non-exempt, paid hourly). Paid leave up to two weeks' vacation, five sick days and firm approved federal holidays.
