Human Resources Specialist Salary Range :

The HR Specialist supports smooth HR operations and organizational compliance, by executing core administrative workflows—including record keeping, and regulatory tracking—ensuring full compliance with labor standards while enhancing the overall employee experience.

Computer Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Database software Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned Workers' Compensation Acts as Primary contact for injury reporting for the Agency. Coordinates and reviews reports for completeness; contacts staff/supervisors for needed information; enters reports in databases Updates HR Representatives on the status of injured staff Leave Management Assists HR Representatives with leave-related paperwork and tracking & answers employee questions regarding leaves or completing paperwork Performance Appraisals Acts as Primary contact for agency performance appraisals (90 Day, Annual, etc). Receives/collects completed appraisals, reviews and contacts supervisors for clarifying information; enters into database and personnel folder Collaborates with the Training Department to run reports to stay updated on who has not submitted the performance appraisals for their employees License Event Notification System (LENS) administration Reviews notifications from the NYS Dept of Motor Vehicles for active staff; Logs transactions for billing purposes Follows up on suspensions, accidents, expirations, and out of state licenses with staff and Updates License Status in Paycom Communicates with employees and management when an update impacts an employee's ability to drive agency vehicles. Employee Separation Processing Processes employee terminations in the HR system, including notifications and removal of clearances; sends exit interviews to all terminating employees; tracks exit interview data and reports it quarterly. HR Department Organization Assists with employee filing projects for both active and terminated staff Assists with internal audits of files and paperwork Supports the CHRO & Director with administrative needs including faxing,

A valid NYS license and clean driving record required
