Job Description

The HR Generalist is responsible for the performing all recruitment and selection activities; as well as effective communication and delivery of human resource procedures and practices for all Credit Union employees. This position requires travel to both the Columbus and Dayton regions. Columbus 5-10 times per month mainly to the member centers. Dayton 2-7 times per month both to the member centers as well as Headquarters. Performs all recruitment activities, including selection and onboarding activities for all open positions in defined work group. Must be proficient in utilizing a variety of recruiting platforms to attract top talent. (50%) Address employee concerns in a timely manner and assist the HR Manager in handling sensitive employee relations issues that have the potential for significant exposure to litigation. Escalate complex questions or situations to the HR Manager in a prompt and confidential manner. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Assist WPCU managers with employee relations issues and setting performance expectations to ensure disciplinary actions and terminations are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and maintains updates and changes to the performance management system. (30%) Assist with special projects including development and delivery of in-house training for HR Technical skills such as interviewing and diversity and compliance, as well as projects focused on compensation analysis and process improvement by reporting gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated. (20%)
