Description:
American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for an Human Resources Intern, this position is located in Findlay, OH. HR Intern position located in Findlay OH, we are looking for a Part Time HR Intern and the hours a based upon the candidate's school schedule. This position will report to the Human Resources Manager, this is an onsite position, and we will not be paying for relocation. You must be a US Citizen.
Responsibilities:
Assisting Talent Acquisition in sourcing new candidates Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details. Screening potential hourly production employees' resumes/application to identify suitable candidates to fill vacancies. Assisting in posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms. Launching and completing onboarding process via the applicant tracking system. Assisting in coordinating new hire orientations. Assisting in responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits and other HR-related matters. Maintain monthly team member newsletter. Help plan and execute team member recognition and retention initiatives.
Requirements:
Studying for a degree in human resource management or related field. Proven experience working in an office environment. Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws, a plus. Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is preferred. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. The ability to work as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Effective communication skills. Detail-oriented.
