The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day HR activities for their assigned customer groups, including administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs with responsibilities in the following functional areas: Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, leave of absence and worker's compensation, and talent acquisition.
What You'll Be Doing:
Facilitates and participates in the candidate selection process, including applicant tracking, recruiting, interviewing, new hire orientations and onboarding; extends job offers, creates offer letters and facilitates pre-employment testing and background checks for new hires; facilitates on-boarding classes. Investigates routine employee relations issues and works with employees and supervisors to resolve issues; prepares recommendations to upper management concerning human resource issues and concerns; works with leaders and HR Managers to draft and review coaching and corrective action documents and employee evaluations; escalates more serious or complex issues to Human Resources Manager or Director as needed. Builds relationships with employees at all levels in the organization; spends time with leaders and employees in their work environment by walking the floor, in-person attendance at meetings, Town Halls and engagement events. Maintains personnel files and data in HRIS in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Administers HR policies, practices, procedures, and programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. What We Need fromYou:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field is strongly preferred. In lieu of degree, 4 years minimum experience in a HR Generalist, Recruiting or related role.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the HR field.
- PHR certification strongly preferred.
