Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a manufacturing operation in Piqua, Ohio on a Contract basis for approximately 2 months. This onsite role blends hands-on HR leadership with payroll execution, making it ideal for someone who can manage sensitive employee matters, maintain accurate records, and keep critical people processes running smoothly. The position will partner closely with site leadership and employees to provide dependable support across payroll, benefits coordination, leave administration, and talent-related activities.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple employee groups, ensuring timely and accurate pay calculations, validations, and final reconciliation activities.
  • Review and update payroll-related records in Workday, including edits that affect earnings, deductions, and employee data accuracy.
  • Oversee timecard review and approval follow-up so payroll inputs are complete and submitted within required deadlines.
  • Administer leave-related processes and coordinate benefit matters with the external third-party benefits administrator.
  • Support recruiting efforts by assisting with hiring coordination and, when appropriate, contributing to broader full-cycle recruitment activities.
  • Help execute talent management activities, including performance and talent review processes within Workday.
  • Participate in testing and support of talent workflows in Workday as new processes are introduced.
  • Communicate clearly with employees, managers, and internal stakeholders regarding payroll, HR procedures, benefits, and process expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with established controls, confidentiality standards, and structured operating procedures in a highly process-driven environment.
