A Human Resources Generalist provides overall operational support in a human resources department, including supporting employee relations, onboarding, benefits and leave management of a company or organization.
Our client, a manufacturing company in Kennett Square, is seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations. This role will partner with leadership and employees across the facility to assist with core HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, recruiting support, compliance, and HR recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support daily HR operations for a manufacturing workforce
Assist with employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding
Administer benefits and help employees with HR-related questions
Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date
Support recruitment efforts, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring activities
Partner with managers on employee relations matters and performance issues
Help ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and workplace regulations
Track attendance, leaves, and other personnel data
Assist with HR reporting, audits, and special projects
Promote a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar human resources role
Experience supporting employees in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, and employment law
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
