A Human Resources Specialist works for a human resources department to implement the provisions of a labor contract, including employee wages and benefits and other practices that are collectively bargained; may also handle an internal grievance process established under a labor contract.
We're looking for the person who makes a renovation feel organized from the very first handshake — and who builds the systems that keep it that way for every client after. Canopy Building Services is a family-owned general contractor in Media, PA, serving Delaware County homeowners since 2022. We do kitchens, bathrooms, basements, decks, and whole-house renovations, and we back all of it with a two-year workmanship guarantee. Our clients choose us for transparent, line-item proposals and communication that doesn't go quiet halfway through a job. We've grown fast enough that the handoff between "signed proposal" and "shovels in the ground" deserves a dedicated owner. That's this role. You'll be the client's guide through onboarding and product selections, and the internal owner of the systems — Buildertrend chief among them — that make the whole process repeatable.

Systems & process implementation Own our project management platform end to end — configuration, templates, workflows, and the discipline to keep the data clean. Build and maintain job templates, selection sheets, schedule templates, and client-facing workflows in Buildertrend. Document our standard operating procedures for estimating handoff, onboarding, selections, change orders, and project closeout — then train the team on them and keep them current. Audit job data for accuracy and completeness so that budgets, schedules, and selections in the system reflect what is actually happening in the field. Identify where the process breaks down, propose a fix, and implement it. We want someone who improves the machine, not just operates it. Connect the dots between Buildertrend, Google Workspace, and our estimating and accounting workflows so information is entered once and used everywhere. Report on pipeline, selection status, and project milestones for weekly leadership review. 2. Client onboarding Be the calm, clear point of contact between the signed contract and the first day of construction. Canopy Building Services — Project Development & Client Onboarding Specialist canopybuildingservices.com • 610-244- 1744 Run the client kickoff: review scope, budget, allowances, schedule, and what the next 30 days will actually look like in their home. Set up each new client in Buildertrend, walk them through the client portal, and set expectations for how and when we communicate. Collect contracts, deposits, insurance documentation, HOA approvals, and permit-related paperwork; keep the file complete and current. Coordinate the internal handoff to the project manager and production team so nothing the client told us gets lost in translation. Check in at defined milestones, surface concerns early, and make sure every client can answer the question "what happens next?" without having to ask. Own the closeout experience — punch list, warranty documentation, review requests, and referrals. 3. Product knowledge & client selections Guide homeowners through the hundreds of decisions a renovation asks of them — on budget and on schedule. Build selection schedules with hard deadlines tied to the construction calendar, and hold clients and vendors to them. Advise on cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, flooring, decking, and finish hardware — what performs, what it costs, and what lead times look like. Accompany clients to showrooms and suppliers, or run selections in-house, and translate their taste into specifications the field can build from. Track allowances against actual selections and flag overages before they become a change order surprise. Manage material procurement timing with vendors so long-lead items are ordered early and arrive when the schedule needs them. Maintain a working library of preferred products, vendors, and pricing so recommendations stay fast and consistent.

This is non-negotiable. 3+ years in construction, remodeling, or a closely related trade or design field. Genuinely strong written and verbal communication. Much of this job is explaining a complicated thing simply to someone whose house is torn apart. Highly organized, detail-obsessed, and comfortable owning deadlines that other people depend on. Confident with software; able to learn a new platform quickly and teach it to others.
